PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Color is usually white.
Luster is vitreous.
Diaphaneity is transparent to translucent.
Crystal System is hexagonal, 6.
Crystal Habits include stacked, hexagonal crystals and tabular
crystals.
Cleavage none observed.
Fracture is conchoidal.
Hardness is 5.5 – 6.
Specific Gravity is approximately 3.1 g/cm
Streak is white.
Associated Minerals include albite.
Distinguishing Features: Crystal habits.
Origin: Named in 1939 after Arthur Wade (1878-1951), British-born
geologist.
