Fracture is conchoidal to uneven.
Hardness is 5 - 5.5.
Specific Gravity is approximately 7.78 g/cm3.
Streak is black.
Associated Minerals include (??).
Distinguishing Features: Color and luster.
Origin: Named in 1832 for its composition.
